We have partnered with Australia’s independent EFTPOS banking provider Tyro to give venues a powerful, low-cost, all-in-one solution for sales and payments.
We’re delighted to be working with Tyro to deliver this latest offer to the hospitality industry. The industry has seen a lot of innovation and disruption in recent years, so much so that I believe paying for software will soon be a thing of the past. We’ve never done anything like this before, but we pride ourselves on being quick to identify industry trends and adapt to deliver solutions that customers want.
Our hospitality POS software has combined with Tyro’s EFTPOS payment system, and we are now offering the POS and EFTPOS at a low transaction blended fee of 1.9% (including GST) on any Visa, MasterCard, UnionPay or EFTPOS transactions. To get started, venues simply need to supply their own POS hardware or purchase these devices through Impos. Once the venue starts processing sales, it will simply be charged the low monthly transaction blended fee for the combined product. There is no lock-in contract so venues can cancel at any time.
The main advantage of the combined offering to hospitality venues is that it allows the customer the flexibility to switch to a lower transaction fee at any time as their business grows.
The blended rate is great for start-up hospitality venues and allows them to get up and running quickly and incur expenses for POS and EFTPOS as revenue is generated. It’s important for us to allow venues to choose what works best for them, naturally a much larger mature venue would opt for a lower transaction rate combined with a SaaS (Software as a Service) monthly fee for POS software and services, of which Impos has been offering since 2005. This is all about offering venues a flexible solution.
